Convertilla is a video conversion tool and that means you can convert videos to another format so that the target player can handle it. The program is of Russian origin and you will notice this already during the installation by some translation errors. Fortunately, you will not be bothered by this once you have started the program.
Formats
Logically, you first make sure that Convertilla knows which video file you want to convert: this can be done by a simple dragging movement or via the Explorer. Unfortunately, it is not possible to import multiple videos at the same time. Then you choose the format you want to convert to, where you can choose from mp4, flv, mkv, mpg, avi, mov, wmv, 3gp and also the audio formats mp3, aac and flac. So it is also possible to extract only the audio from your video clip. Convertilla also provides a play button, but this is only available if you have not yet chosen (another) conversion format and, moreover, the video plays in the media player that is associated with that format by default.
Setting options
Convertilla is clearly aimed at the novice or the user who has little need to adjust every technical detail of the video format. It is, however, possible to a certain extent to adjust the desired quality, using a simple slider in about ten steps. You can also change the intended resolution if desired, from a minimum of 176 × 144 to a maximum of 1920 × 1080 pixels. If you want, Convertilla can also remove the audio from your clip. If you want to make it even easier, choose one of the 13 predefined conversion templates, such as Android tablet, iPhone, PS3 etc.
With the push of a button you start the requested conversion, a process that is speeding up quite a bit.
