Is the TV busy, but you still want to play a nice game on your Xbox One? Then it's good to know that Windows 10 includes a feature to wirelessly stream your favorite games to any PC. This way you can stream Xbox games to your PC.
Correct Settings
To stream games, the first thing you need to do is dive into your Xbox One's settings. Go to Preferences and choose Game DVR and Streaming. Make sure there is a check mark behind Allow game streaming to other devices. Then choose at Preferences / Xbox App Connections for the option Connections from any deviceto allow or Only profiles signed in to this Xbox.
Xbox app
Download the official Xbox app on PC now and sign in with the same gamertag you used to sign in on Xbox One. With the app you can basically do the same as on the game console. Think of browsing the Xbox Store, checking your games and achievements and sending messages to friends. You can also view the activity feed and search for new friends or clubs.
Streaming quality
The Xbox One and the Windows 10 PC must be on the same home network for streaming to work. Preferably use a wired Ethernet connection or the 5GHz frequency band of your Wi-Fi network, otherwise you will suffer from stuttering while playing. If your WiFi network is not fast enough, it is smart to lower the quality while streaming.
Connect and play
From the desktop app, press in the left menu Link, after which your Xbox One will appear automatically. Click on the game computer and then choose Stream to set up the connection. The Xbox One interface is mirrored on your PC and can be controlled with the Xbox controller. Choose your favorite game and start playing! Press the Esc key to stop streaming.
