By default, your iPhone connects to iTunes as soon as you connect it to your computer with a cable. But it can also be different. Whether you're using a Mac or PC, it's very easy to get your photos off your iPhone without using iTunes.
Not everyone is enamored with iTunes. On the PC, the software is less streamlined than on the Mac, and if you don't use iTunes much or at all, you might prefer to approach your photos in a different way. Also read: How to share multiple photos at once in iOS 9.
on the Mac
Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB cable. Open the Image Captureapp and select your iPhone. Select all the photos you want to save to your computer, choose a folder and click Import. To import all the photos in your iPhone's camera roll, click Import all click.
On the PC
Connect your iPhone to your PC with a USB cable. If you Autoplay enabled, you can immediately start importing your photos by pressing Import images and videos to click.
Is Autoplay not turned on, open the built-in photos Windows 10 app and click . at the top right of the window Import (the square with the downward pointing arrow).
You can then tag your photos if you want, and you can choose to delete the photos from your iPhone once they've been transferred to your computer.
