Photos and images that you delete in the Photos app are automatically saved temporarily. You can still restore them, or delete them permanently. You can read how to do that here.
Most iPhone users are eager to use the Camera app. It is not without reason that the iPhone is the most popular photo camera in the world. Besides the fact that all those images use up quite a bit of memory, organizing photos (and deleting wrong shots) also takes a lot of energy. Fortunately, if you accidentally delete the wrong photo, there is nothing to worry about.
If you delete images on the iPhone - we will assume that you have iOS 8 installed - they will end up in the folder Recently deleted. For example, if you receive an inappropriate photo via WhatsApp, it is not enough to delete it. You will still see it in this folder.
The deleted photos are kept for thirty days from the moment they are placed in the folder Recently deleted end up. At the bottom of each image is stated how long they will remain visible in this spot. To get rid of it right away, tap the photo to make it large and tap Delete.
It is also possible to permanently delete several photos at the same time: first tap on in the overview Select and then check the images to be deleted. Choose below for Delete and you'll never see them again. You can restore individual images or multiple images at once in the same way. They then end up in the Camera Roll again.
