It is now possible to pair Samsung Gear smartwatches with iPhone. iPhone owners can find the Samsung Gear S app in the App Store.

Users can download the Samsung Gear S app in the Gear S2 and Gear S3. The sports enthusiasts can install the Samsung Gear Fit app to pair the Gear Fit2 with iOS. Both apps are in the App Store. After pairing, you can use all the functions that the smartwatches also have on Android. For example, the built-in GPS, altimeter and speedometer simply work via the app.

To pair your Gear, first install the Samsung Gear S app from the App Store. Turn on the smartwatch and wait for it to boot. After a while, the message appears that you need to start the Gear S app on your smartphone. When you first launch the app, the app will guide you through the process of searching for a Gear S smartwatch.
After the Gear appears, select it and wait for the devices to connect. A code will now appear on both screens, if they are the same, click OK.
To call to action
Now that the smartwatch is paired, you can use almost all of the Gear S's features. The only thing you can't do yet is answer calls with the Gear. To activate that, you need to disconnect the iPhone from the smartwatch.
Go to Settings – Bluetooth. Disconnect the Gear S. Is the smartwatch still between My devices? Then press the i icon and press 'forget this device’. Now the Gear S is back in between Other devices state, connect to the smartwatch. Through this second link, you can also answer calls using the Gear S.
As the notification says, you must leave the Gear S app active to continue to use all functions.
