A new smartphone can take some getting used to, even if it's a Galaxy S7. From the camera to the best way to manage your apps, here we give you 7 tips to get off to a good start with the Samsung Galaxy S7.
1. Camera Hotkey on Galaxy S7
You can access a number of functions faster with various shortcuts on the Galaxy S7. One of them is the camera app. By clicking twice quickly on the new home button, the camera app opens immediately and you are never too late to capture that beautiful moment. This hotkey can be used anywhere in the Galaxy S7 whether you're surfing in the browser or scrolling through your notes, it works everywhere. 2. Best Display Settings
What is immediately noticeable about the new generation of smartphones is that they are bright and the light splashes off the screen. You can set a night mode with the newer smartphones that will be released in the course of the year, but with the Samsung Galaxy S7 you can apply something else. With the S7 it is possible to bring the colors to a kind of base, so that the screen is no longer as bright and the colors become a bit softer.
If you want to apply this go to Settings > Display > Display Mode and you set this to Base. This way you don't have to be irritated by bright colors, but your eyes can still enjoy the beautiful colors that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has.
3. Remove Home Screens
The Samsung Galaxy S7 also comes with some firmware, which provides the necessary (home) screens. Tired of all those screens? Then you can remove it with a simple movement.
Make sure you are on the home screen and hold your finger where there are no apps. Several tabs now appear as transparent squares. You can do this at the top with the Delete button remove.
4. Multiple screenshots on one image
With the S7 it is possible to take multiple screenshots in succession that can then be saved as one image. So instead of countless photos in your gallery, you can now keep screenshots that belong together.
You can do this by simply taking a screenshot and then clicking Capture more to push. You'll find the button in the middle at the bottom of your screen. With this you can take as many screenshots as you want and attach them all together, without your photo album becoming full of screenshots.
5. Take more professional photos
In addition to the fact that the Galaxy S7 is equipped with the new dual-pixel technology, the camera has a number of functions that ensure that you can take beautiful photos. Even if you already have some experience with professional photography, Samsung still has some tricks for you.
In the Camera app of the S7 you can enable another mode, the Pro mode. This will make your photos look even better and more professional. You can start this mode by pressing the Mode button at the bottom of the screen and then press Pro to push. This gives you a lot of new features for your camera, including ISO values, white balance, contrasts and a number of functions that will make your photos look better - if you know what you're doing.
6. Apps on your home screen
If you want to have more apps on your home screen, you have the option to set this. Some people find certain apps so useful and use them on a daily basis, how convenient is it to put them on your very first screen?
Press and hold your finger anywhere on an empty spot on the home screen. This makes a number of options available. Then press screen grid. Here you have the option of a number of grids that ensure that you can place more or fewer apps on your home screen.
7. Always On Display
The Always On Display has also found its way to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and that is not annoying. Because the screen is always on, you can always see what time it is or who has sent you a message without having to touch your phone. Although that is of course very useful, the downside is that it eats battery. Fortunately, there is also the option to turn off the Always On screen and this is quite easy too. You can also customize the style and control what is displayed.
Go to Settings > Display > Always On Display and you have arrived at the menu. Here you can turn the feature on or off and customize the Always On screen to your liking.
