To make a printout of what is on your screen, you can press the PrintScreen key. You then paste the image thus placed on the clipboard into an image editing program, after which you can edit it further. However, this method has its limitations. There are several programs that give you more options when it comes to screenshots. Gadwin PrintScreen is one of them.
When it comes to capturing screenshots, also known as screenshots, Gadwin PrintScreen remains my favorite free program. The tool offers an enormous amount of possibilities. For example, you can choose the area to be captured from the full screen, the program window, the active window, or an area of your choice. By default, Gadwin uses the PrintScreen key, but you can also choose from no less than sixty other key combinations. When taking a screenshot, the icon of Gadwin PrintScreen, which is visible in the system tray, can be hidden if desired. The captured screenshots can be saved to the clipboard, a printer, an e-mail program or to a file. The options to directly print and e-mail screenshots seem somewhat redundant to us. You have plenty of other options for this.
Gadwin PrintScreen offers many possibilities.
When you save the screenshots to a file, you can choose from five file formats. The desired compression can be set for jpgs. The dimensions of created images can also be adjusted directly, whereby you can indicate that the aspect ratios should be preserved. In addition, the screenshots can be saved in grayscale if necessary, and you can even add a shadow border directly to them, as well as a date and time stamp. When saving, the images are neatly numbered.
Of course, you have the option to include the cursor in the screenshot, but PrintScreen 4.5 is also one of the few programs of its kind that also displays bounding boxes in image editing programs. This is an indispensable feature when creating tutorials on such programs.
Finally, you can start the tool with Windows. Even if you take few screenshots, there is no problem with that. It doesn't slow down startup, and the program hardly uses any system resources.
