Before you can activate Dark Mode, you must first be using the latest version of YouTube. Although Google is gradually rolling out the new version, you still have to manually activate the new version. To do this, go to youtube.com/new. After activating the latest version, you can activate Dark Mode. Click on your account icon at the top right of the screen. You will then see a menu where you can Dark Mode: Off sees standing.
