Google knows a lot about us. This data is used by Google to offer a personalized user experience, but also to be able to advertise in a more targeted manner, for example. Here we show you how to view, download, and delete your collected Google data.
Download your Google data
To download the data that Google has collected about you through its own products and services, you must be on this webpage. Sign in with your Google account and choose which Google products you want to archive. You can select details and options per product by clicking the downward pointing arrow. click on Next one to proceed to.
Now you have to choose a file type for the download. To make sure the file doesn't get too big, you can split the archive. The archive can then be sent to your email address via a download link, or you can add the archive to the cloud services Google Drive, Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive.
View Google data
Google keeps track of your internet behavior and activities. This happens, for example, when you are logged in to an app or service with a Google account, on both desktop and smartphone. Examples of data that is tracked are your searches, which videos you have watched on YouTube, your location history, and so on.
You can view this information via the My activity page. The data can be filtered by date or product, so that you can search your data faster.
Delete Google data
According to Google, this data cannot be viewed by third parties, but some people would rather just delete it. You can do this by clicking the My activity page to sign in with your Google account. Click on the hamburger menu and select Delete activityon the basis of. Click on the drop-down menu and choose Amended or Unlimited. click on In front of and choose the current date. Then all data will be deleted.
If you do not want Google to collect such data at all, you should click the My activity page login with your google account and in the hamburger menu Activity options Selecting. Here you can disable all kinds of information that you don't want to share with Google. In the pop-up choose the option Interrupt to completely disable data collection.
