Printing a document is not that complicated. Do not print ten documents either. But if you need to print more than that and want to do it in different ways as well, your printer's standard software lets you down a bit. In such a case, Print Conductor is a handy solution.

In Windows, you can easily add several documents to your print queue, which will then be printed one at a time. You can also give different commands: print one document via the main tray, an image via the photo tray. But for that you have to give a separate print order piece by piece.
Configure print job
The Print Conductor program was created to simplify this process for you. The program is free for private use. The interface is quite garish, but very clear. You can add files by pressing Add Documents or Add Folder (if you want to add an entire folder) or you drag the files via Windows Explorer to this screen.
Then it is time to indicate exactly how you want to execute the print job. On the left you can select a printer (with below it Printer Properties for things like print quality). By clicking Settings For example, indicate which drawer should be used. If you want to use different drawers for different documents/files, then right-click on the individual files in your list of documents and adjust things per document. Then click on Start Printing and as long as you have enough paper and ink, you don't have to worry about this process anymore.
Missing functionality
Now that we can print more automatically, we are actually missing some things within the program. It would be useful if we could also select a different printer for each job (certain documents on the laser printer, others on the inkjet). It's also a shame that the software doesn't automatically detect when a new file is added to a folder for printing, so we could automate even better. The makers do have another program for that (FolderMill), but in our opinion that could have worked well together.
Conclusion
Print Conductor works great, especially if you print a lot. The program is clear and you can adjust many things yourself. We would find it even more useful if the program itself could monitor an explorer folder.
